Shell Global Solutions can deliver an array of innovative and highly efficient services, ranging from design and engineering capabilities, licensed technology, right the way through to supply chain management. Asia is poised to experience the largest increase in energy demand of any region in the world over the next 20 years.
To capitalise on this opportunity, Shell Global Solutions (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (342714-T), has been established as a Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) status company based in the Petronas Twin Towers. This business will serve as the Asia Pacific headquarters as well as the flagship oil and gas consultancy in the region. To continue our growth and success we are now recruiting regional experts to join our top-tier international team in cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Responsibilities:
The Oil and Gas Logistics, Crude Oil and Product Quality Group, is one of 3 groups in a cluster that provides services to Supply/Distribution and at their interfaces with Manufacturing. Services are provided to refineries, gas plants, terminals and depots, as well as to other Shell Global Solutions (GS) groups and support activities (e.g. head office activities). Control of product quality can impact significantly on client profitability and market reputation. GS offers a range of product quality related technical consultancy services in the areas of Product Centred Refining, Laboratory performance, Product Movements, Product integrity (contamination) control in the supply chain, Blending and Biofuels.
These services include targeted margin improvement and refinery Master Planning studies, training, safety and integrity reviews and project support. Customers include a broad spectrum of Shell Group and non-Shell Operating Units and refiners, Chemical Industry, Exploration and Production, and trading companies.
The 3 groups have strong links with the GS Consultancy group and contributes to refinery Master Planning, Hydrocarbon margin improvement programs and Pacesetting Consultancy Services. Our services are designed to enable customers to become more competitive in the preparation and delivery of the right quantity and quality of feedstocks and products at the right time, in the right place by the most appropriate transportation mode. The main operating sites are in The Hague, Amsterdam and Kuala Lumpur. As part of the team, your key responsibilities include:
Developing and reviewing operational and safety procedures for oil movements installations;
Participating in and providing oil movements support for revamps and new design projects;
Participating in and providing leadership of oil movements masterplanning studies, basic process designs for tankage, jetties and movements between them as well as assistance during the engineering procurement contracting phase;
Provide leadership and vision in the area of Product Quality Management (PQM) for the supply chain, in support of our main internal customers strategy in this area;
Translate this vision into an integrated Global Solutions service delivery, covering all the relevant Delivery Groups in the area of PQM;

Mentoring and guidance to more junior staff members.
Requirements:
The cluster of 3 groups cover a particularly diverse range of technology services that span all sectors of oil and gas industry. Most typically our services focus on the interfaces between manufacturing assets and the outside world. It is therefore of particular importance that networks and synergies with both internal and external customers and colleagues are established and maintained;
The candidate should be able to liaise with and influence customers at all levels in the business. Individuals are given freedom, responsibility and support in their work as appropriate, and there will be opportunities to contribute to the development of the group;
