Skill Requirements:
Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate, Well Service Blowout Prevention Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Special Oil Well Operator (boiler) Certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Oil and gas well drilling and well servicing
Specific Skills: Direct rig crew, Operate controls of drill or service rig, Train or arrange for training of crew, Keep records of drilling and servicing operations, Assemble and attach equipment to drill stem or wireline, Operate or direct the operation of wireline or unit controls, Interpret data
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dangerous, Wet/damp, Noisy, Odours
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence, Own transportation, Own vehicle, Willing to travel
