Organization/DepartmentOur client provides a wide range of engineering, construction, operations and maintenance, logistics and project management services to three markets: upstream, downstream and government & infrastructure. The upstream sector includes oil and gas production facilities, pipelines, gas processing and liquefied natural gas production facilities and receiving terminals.
Job descriptionOur client has a requirement for a IMIS Specialist in Atyrau, Kazakhstan for the Kashagan Project on a Project Hire basis. The role holder will act as a Focal point for all IMIS/Document control, Co-ordinate/facilitate the implementation of IMIS systems, processes and procedures within the Package, Manage the Data and Document collection, review and validation processes and Ensure IMIS is functioning according to requirements, trouble shooting where required.
Responsibilties:
•Provide input to the pre-contract package negotiations and run IM Engagement sessions to ensure compliance to IM requirements.
•Review, validate and audit the Executions Contractors Information Systems Plan and architecture including implementation plan to validate that all IMIS interface requirements are implemented.
•Identify requirements for new applications and interfaces and assure that specification, implementation and delivery are managed within an IMIS framework
•Review and make recommendations on effectiveness of Internet Communications provided.
•Audit application of IM standards and procedures and effectiveness of validation processes. Identify issues and recommend resolutions.
•Monitor data /document quality.
•Establish and run a Document Management Operation (as needed by the Package Team) and/or ensure that the services provided by the Execution Contractor satisfy the requirements of the team.
•Ensure that Contractor is trained and competent in the use of Documentum for issue of documentation
•Monitor, review the Cad co-ordination programme
•Monitor and review information in IMIS on a regular basis to ensure that collection and reporting standards are being maintained. Provide management report on progress.
RequirementsExtensive relevant experience in information/engineering systems within the oil and gas sector.
Experience as a Team Leader
Information systems / engineering degree or equivalent experience
Substantial experience of large multidiscipline projects involving IMIS or related systems.
Extensive Documentum experience
Overseas experience required. Preferable experience in the former FSU.
Other remarksBase salary plus uplifts plus 4/4 rotation.
Camp accommodation.
