Position Summary:
Responsible for performing equipment and parts functions. Is responsible for the evaluation and requisitioning of equipment, tools, parts and consumables. Coordinates these needs based on project schedules, to prevent or eliminate conflicts in scheduling or other potential delays.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Reviews requirements of projects for equipment, tools, parts and consumables. When requirements are ascertained, he/she makes arrangements for shipment from stock, from other projects, or from suppliers. He/she insures delivery to jobsites. He/she supplies any information required for operation or maintenance.
2. Able to read proper work orders, chase properly ordered parts and equipment, following the work orders and issue requisitioned parts.
3. Supports his/her assigned contracts for the supply of either spare or repair parts. Provides technical assistance to the customer to insure acquisition of proper equipment, tools and parts. Supplies any technical information necessary for operation or maintenance to the job site.
4. Gathers historical and/or financial information as necessary to prepare proposals for any other studies required in the overall operation of equipment, tools and parts.
5. Coordinates his efforts with other groups to assure completion of the overall objectives.
6. Familiarity with both imported and domestic materials and equipment including, but not limited to:
Heavy Duty: Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, John Deere, Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Case, Bobcat, Link Belt, Manitowac and Grove.
Light Duty: Ingersol Rand, Joy, Gardner Denver, Whacker, Sullair, Maxi Heat, Allmond Brother as well as light duty trucks (Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet.
7. Must be able to follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
Other Job Responsibilities:
1. Planning and organizational skills required.
2. Familiarity with specification standards ASTM, ASME, NACE, NFPA, MSS, API AND NEC.
3. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, CMMS and knowledge of database systems
4. Ability to prepare reports and correspondence as.
5. Ability to work without direct supervision.
6. Familiarity with GPB locations.
7. Valid driver’s license.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Expertise:
1. Two (2) years experience in stock management, warehousing and inventory management is preferred.
2. One (1) years experience with computerized stock management, CRT experience and working a parts/issue counter is preferred.
Education:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is desired.
Required Training & Certificates:
1. Attends training sessions and safety meetings required by organization.
2. Possesses current knowledge of warehousing skills and organizational practices.
3. Has adequate written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
4. Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications, if required.
Physical Demand/Work Environment:

Mobility:
Able to climb structures, scaffolding and ladders.
Hearing:
1. Hears audible equipment backup alarms and other safety alarms.
Visual Acuity:
1. Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and be able to correctly interpret shop drawings.
Lifting:
1. Routinely lifts up to seventy (70) pounds.
Communication Skills:
1. Reads and understands job descriptions, safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs, which includes reading and filling out hiring documents and forms.
2. Sufficient oral communication skills to be able to give and receive oral safety warnings and instructions and task assignments.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability too relate to and work with personnel on all levels of the organization.
