Qualifications• Successful candidate will preferably have post secondary education such as Engineering Design & Drafting, Process Piping Certificate, Piping Drafting Certificate.
• Oil and gas EPCM design / drafting experience preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, ProCAD, (AutoORTHO, AutoFLOW, AutoISO), or Bentley Auto Plant software.
• Strong P&ID and mechanical drawing development skills are required.
• Candidate should have experience with oil and gas projects in Western Canada including gathering systems, well tie-ins and field facilities such as compressor stations, dehys, gathering systems or sales pipeline systems, and production plants.
• Familiarity with project schedules, scope of work documents and man-hour estimates.
Responsibilities• Leadership, mentorship and coordination of intermediate and junior design / drafting personnel.
• Client liaison and interdisciplinary liaison on design / drafting issues.
• Supervision and checking of, and creation and development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Site Plans, Piling Locations, Mechanical Equipment Layouts, Piping Layouts, Isometrics, Structural Steel Diagrams.
• Checking of drawings for accuracy, completeness & adherence to applicable client standards.
