Job descriptionJob Purpose:
Responsible for handling day-to-day insurance activities and assisting the Insurance Controller, including receiving relevant data from Group Companies, corresponding with the Insurance Companies/Consultant, lodging claims with the Insurance Co., follow-up correspondence, maintaining data (electronic version and hard copies).
Principal Accountabilities
1. Understand the risk exposures and various insurance requirements of Crescent and Group Companies.
2. Monitor policy expiration dates and send reminders to the respective Group Co.’s and request the required information.
3. Compare and analyse the data based on historic data.
4. Provide the information and data to Insurance Co.’s for renewal of polices, amendments, mid term adjustments etc. in consultation with the Manager.
5. Obtain the required information and data in the event of claims.
6. Verify the received claims information/data and lodge the claims with the Insurance Co. in consultation with the Manager.
7. Claims follow-up with respective Insurance Co.’s/Loss Adjusters and/or any other related party.
8. Follow up with Insurance Consultants and obtain the required information and documents.
9. Handle motor insurance scheme.
10. Check and verify premium invoices, credit notes and allocate the premiums to the respective Group Companies and arrange premium payments.
11. Maintain various data electronically and hard copies.
12. Assist the Controller with regard Captive Insurance Project.
13. Visit Company subsidiary companies for better co-ordination, understanding of risks and for discussions related to Insurance requirements and Risk Management.
14. Any other activity related to Insurance & Risk Management as assigned by the Manager /Controller.
Requirements1. Bachelors Degree with specialisation in General Insurance subjects and working experience within the Insurance Industry.
2. Proficient in MS word/ Excel /Power Point.
3. Good oral and written communication skills.
4. Strong Analytical, Presentation & Interpersonal Skills.
5. A team player with good PR skills in order to interact and maintain good rapport with Group Companies, Insurance Companies, Intermediaries and Loss Adjusters.
