We are currently looking for a Project Controls Lead for either a staff or contract role, to be based in our Aberdeen location.

Responsibilities and tasks
Responsible for implementation and management of project controls functions within a project or group of projects
Accountable for reliability and suitability of project controls support to a project or group of projects
Responsible for ongoing review and improvement of project controls within a project or group of projects, providing input to the overall Project Controls function
Duties include management of suitable processes to underpin project delivery
Leadership of project-based leaders or senior personnel in the project controls areas
Provision of transition management during project start-up with development into leadership of all Project Services functions during the life time of a project
In general, scope covers either a project or a group of projects, dependent on size and complexity of project
Deliver the function of Project Services to a project team or to a group of projects
Deliver excellence in the co-ordination of various in-scope functions
Ensure consistency in the reporting for both planning progress and base line estimates
Co-ordinate the introduction of new sub-projects
Manage the change control process
Support the Project Engineers for all elements of project controls
Co-ordinate the interface of information between the estimating team and the cost engineering team
Assist in the evolution and delivery of the project reporting set-up
Provide feed-back on performance against estimating norms
Provide qualitative analysis of the progress and productivity data
Provide results using earned value analysis
Ensure continuous improvement approach to developing appropriate systems, ensuring proficient leadership and use by project controls personnel within scope
Provide professional input to tendering

Qualifications & personal attributes
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
QS or Engineering qualifications to Honours Degree level preferred
Member of appropriate professional body preferred
Proficient in at least two of the Project Controls key functions
Highly numerate
Experienced in delivery of high service quality to customers
Considerable experience in oil and gas project services role
Good team working
Good self-motivation and
Good communication skills
Critical understanding of operator business drivers
