Subsea 7 is one of the world's leading engineering and construction companies offering all the expertise and assets that make Subsea Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) field development and operation possible.

The offices of the Subsea 7's Africa & Gulf of Mexico, London country are based in Sutton, south London.

We are looking to strengthen our Project execution capabilities with the addition of an Associate Project HSE Advisor for live projects, based in the Sutton office with visit to Subsea 7 worksites, Suppliers or Clients worksites and offices as needed by the Project.
The Associate Project HSE Advisor will work under the supervision of a Project HSE Lead who is the focal point for all project HSE matters. The jobholder will provide a support function to project management, ensuring adequate HSE input.  The jobholder will promote the use of professional HSE tools, principles and objectives and ensure compliance with Subsea 7 HSE Processes. The Associate Project HSE Advisor reports functionally to the Country HSEQ Manager. When deployed to a project, daily project reporting is to the Project HSE Advisor (Project HSE Lead) and the Project Manager. Under the supervision of the Project HSE Advisor, the Associate Project HSE Advisor will be progressively be involved in the following duties:
 

  • The preparation and alignment of Project HSE Plan, objectives and systems with Company requirements.
  • Support Project HSE Manager in implementing the management system.
  • Deliver HSE induction training to new starts and maintain Project HSE Training Matrix.
  • Supervise, co-ordinate, monitor and report on HSE performance on project.
  • Incorporate ‘lessons learned' into project planning and liaise with Knowledge Management.
  • Ensure adequate HSSE visibility throughout the life of the project - screening phase through to the completion phase.
  • Liaise with Project Management team to ensure HSE attendance at key project meetings.
  • Ensure Project Risk Management process is applied to all project activities, develop and control Project Risk Register.
  • Chair and facilitate HAZID / HIRA / TRA meetings.
  • Liaise regularly with Safety Engineering Group and Vessel Support Team.
  • Develop / control / implement project documentation - Project Risk Register, HSE Plan and Delivery Schedule, SMS Interface Document, country HSE guidance documentation, Emergency Response Plan, HAZID / HIRA documentation.
  • Implement, monitor and report on Project performance against Subsea 7 corporate KPIs and Project HSE KPIs.
  • Support the Project Readiness Review process.
  • Continuously measure and monitor project performance and develop an end of project performance report.
  • Develop and implement a Project HSE audit schedule and lead internal and external audits.
  • Ensure regular attendance at vessel mobilisations and de-mobilisations.
  • Observe quayside / deck / subcontractor operations at mobilisations / demobilisations.
  • Assist subcontractors and third parties in compliance to the Subsea 7 BMS.
  • Undertake worksite inspections at Subsea 7 and third party worksites and provide feedback on observations.
  • Support the Project Management team with appropriate incident investigation and reporting.

Capable  of establishing HSE objectives that realistically reflect     potential capability  and maintain a broad and in-depth knowledge of HSE legislation

Ability to articulate training experiences
Experience:
 
 
 
General Experience:
Demonstrable experience within an HSE role
Technical Experience:
Must have experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably Subsea
Self Managerial Experience:
Ability to prioritise tasks and work on own initiative.
