Process/Specialty Engineer I (HSE) Sugar Land, TX, USA
Job Description Process/HSE specialist whose function is to support Health, Safety and Environmental activities on large oil, gas and petrochemical projects. Duties include preparation of HSE Project Plans, Procedures, Safety Cases, Quantitative Risk Assessments, Process Hazard Analyses, Fire Protection Specifications and Environmental Impact Assessments. Job Requirements University Bachelor or equivalent degree in Engineering or Science • A minimum of 2 years of experience (since obtaining a Bachelor degree or equivalent) in the Engineering and Construction, Petroleum or Chemical/Petrochemical industries – typically requires 2 to 4 years experience. • Demonstrated commitment to continued learning and education through participation in internal and/or external training opportunities • Basic understanding of chemistry/physics principles and health, safety and environmental or fire protection regulations • Demonstrated ability to apply principles to the work process with working supervision • Engineer-In-Training or professional certification is a plus in locations where not required by office or home base regulations
