Giant Midstream Operating Pipleine and Terminal Co’s CO2 Company is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to support Permian Basin projects inTexas. $120000 - $150000 base Midlsnd. TX location This position is geared towards an engineer with 5 - 15 years of experience. However, a technically strong and committed candidate with less experience may be considered. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in the planning, design, and construction of various gas and oil field related facilities. Supported and potential gas processing installations include compressors, propane refrigeration plants, amine sweetening, TEG dehydration, molecular sieve dehydration, nitrogen rejection plants, CO2 facilities and general pipeline and pipeline facilities. Additional facility support of oil and water gathering systems, raw gas, water and CO2 injection distribution systems may also be required. Educational Bachelor of Science in Engineering Job Requirements • Generate and manage construction projects from inception through startup. • Create, track and communicate project budgets. • Create, track and communicate project schedules. • Prepare bid packages, specify scope of work and negotiate with contractors. • Plant and/or field gathering facility design and construction experience. • Excellent planning and organization skills. • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Effective communication skills, particularly in the areas of budget, schedule and status. • Ability to contribute ideas, collaborate/work in a team environment. • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge • Experience in gas compression and NGL processing. • Ability to make sound analytical decisions regarding compression and process design. • Experience in effectively managing the documentation process of projects. • Knowledge of reciprocating, centrifugal, and screw compressors and drives. • Knowledge of rotating equipment, pump selection, vibration analysis, etc. • Thorough understanding of design codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, NFPA, etc. • General knowledge of state and federal permitting requirements. • Experience with CO2 removal facilities, including membranes and liquid treating processes. • Experience with PLCs and associated languages. • Experience in bid document preparation, contractor selection, and material procurement. • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects. • Hysys or other processing package experience.
