Description:
Talisman Midstream Operations is looking for a talented and energetic Development Engineer whose role will be to research, analyze and develop solutions for operational and business issues impacting the gas gathering systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop front end engineering and design basis requirements for new expansion projects in the Midstream gathering and processing systems;
Serve as the primary asset team communicator with partners and customers, both external and internal, regarding day-to-day operational and business issues;
Work with the Operations Engineers in ensuring that tie-ins are physically in compliance with Talisman standards and that the business arrangements for the tie-ins are completed;
Assist in evaluating existing and future gas volumes, matching those volumes to the gas gathering and processing capacities and identifying current and future bottle necks/opportunities;Assist in scoping hydraulic and plant modeling requirements;
Assist in budgeting and reforecasting base and development volumes and revenues;
Evaluate various performance indicators for the area to identify improvement opportunities;
Assist the Asset Team Leader in attracting new gas and contracts.
Qualifications:
We are looking for an intermediate engineer who has 5-10 years of experience. The candidate must have or be eligible for the Professional Engineer designation. Knowledge and/or experience with the following would be beneficial:
Field and facility operations
Gas plant operations
Processing / transportation contracts and other business related experience
Familiarity with production accounting
The candidate must be self-motivated and independent, have strong organizational and presentation skills and should thrive on independently managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
