Location: Newport Beach, CA, USA
IMMEDIATE CONTRACT NEED in Orange County, CA for Electrical Engineers who presently hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering for an accredited college or university and who have a minimum of 5 years work experience in the design for power and control systems for refineries, petrochemical plants, or industrial facilities. You MUST HAVE a PE in California; be familiar with U. S. industry standards ( API, NFPA, IEEE, etc. ); have experience with software based electrical systems tools; perform basic AutoCAD functions. Reporting to the Manager of the Electrical Department, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: equipment specification and procurement; engineering calculations including relay coordination; developing one-line diagrams; control schematics and design drawings for construction; working as a member of a project team. Some on-site field work in California may be required. The compensation for this position will be commensurate with your experience and expertise.
Questions you will be asked:

• Do you presently hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and from what accredited college or university did you graduate?

• Do you presently hold a California PE? If not, how soon can you obtain this license?

• Please tell us about your work experience designing power and control systems in refineries, petrochemical plants, or other industrial facilities. Please include the name and location of your last project.

• Please rate your knowledge of and familiarity with each of the following standards: 1) API, 2) NFPA, 3) IEEE.

• This is a Contract position. What is the shortest contract that you will accept?
