Summary
Performs wellhead and down hole testing.
Routinely performs safety and productivity observations; shop, field and vehicle inspections; and is required to attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.
Must demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
Essential Functions
Provides well evaluations through testing procedures. The DHD position works closely with all facets of the Greater Prudhoe Bay Operating Area, North Star, Badami, Endicott and Milne Point to provide these evaluations.
Qualifications
Each level describes job duties that may be in addition to those listed at the lower level.
Level 100
Related work experience preferred. Must be able to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate; and demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures. Must be capable of learning various types of rig ups and rig downs. Requires Class ''A'' commercial driver's license with ''TX'' endorsements (this requirement may be waived at the company’s discretion for temporary hires). Level 200
One (1) year of related experience preferred. Must be able to pass a written skills set test for this level as well as perform a walkthrough with area foreman. Must be capable of learning different down hole configurations. Employee must be able to perform well monitoring, calculate formulas to determine fluid levels, and be competent in the bleed down process as well as performing Tubing Integrity Fluid Level Surveys (TIFL’s). Must be familiar with wellhead identification, and basic DHD procedures. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Must have good working knowledge of PC computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Level 300
Two (2) years related experience preferred. Must demonstrate understanding of all DHD procedures and be familiar with wellhead and down hole components. Must be able to pass a written skills set test for this level as well as perform a walkthrough with area foreman in the following areas: Mechanical Integrity Tests (MIT’s), Combination Integrity Tests (CIT’s), No-Flow Tests (NFT), Liquid Leak Rate Test (LLRT). Must be able to calculate fluid gradient and tubular/annular volumes. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and mentor new employees in the following areas: shooting fluid levels, bleeding process and TIFL’s. Must have good working knowledge of PC computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Level 400
Four (4) years of related experience preferred. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, including the ability to work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate superior work and safety performance. Must be able to mentor all levels below her/him in all aspects of the DHD organization’s operation. May fill in for DHD Foreman as needed. Must have good working knowledge of PC computer systems, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Note: Skills tests may be required of new hires to demonstrate core proficiencies, or of existing employees to advance to a new job level.

MOBILITY: Employee frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. Must be able to access all areas described in this job description and be able to climb ladders.
HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms and warnings.
VISUAL ACUITY: Vision must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner.
LIFTING: The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must display ability to read and understand job descriptions, safety/technical manuals and safety/warning signs. Must display sufficient oral communication skills to be able to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to arctic weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high pressures, high precarious places, confined spaces, and the risk of electrical shock. May be required to work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
