Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years in a directly related position.
- 5 to 8 years commercial experience would be considered an asset.
- Broad knowledge of pipeline system operations and inventory management expertise.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Pipeline rules and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and extreme deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Detail oriented.
- Broad knowledge of pipeline system operations.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- 24/7 availability.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with personnel at various levels both internally and externally.
Responsibilities- This position's main responsibilities are to schedule the movements of refined petroleum products from the Refinery via Pipelines to connecting Product Terminals and to manage inventories at the Refinery and at all Terminal locations to avoid run outs of production at the Refinery.
- The incumbent must have the skill set and firmness to deal with the refinery, pipeline, and terminal operators to ensure timely shipments.
- Acting as primary liaison with Refinery personnel, Trader, Terminal Operators and Shippers.
- Analyzing daily and monthly product sales requirements and developing pipeline schedules for the movement of refined products.
- Developing and submitting to pipeline companies timely, monthly "Notice of Shipments" for each connecting Terminal to meet pipeline cycles.
- Managing inventories at all Pipeline connected Terminals to ensure products are available for lifting and Refinery inventories are manageable.
- Developing innovative ways to ensure product delivery and transportation efficiency.
- Implementing processes to prevent service interruptions to enhance profits for the company and the Supply Company.
- Developing and implementing contingency plans when and if interruptions occur.
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing superior relations with pipeline companies and terminal operators.
- Acting as primary contact between the Refinery, Trader, Shippers and Pipelines.
- Utilizing daily and monthly spreadsheets for scheduling product movements and tracking of daily inventory positions at all Terminals.
- Gathering and sharing market intelligence with marketers.
- Liaising with and providing back-up to Calgary based pipeline and terminal schedulers.
- Interfacing and integrating with the Canadian Supply, Logistics and Pipeline groups.
- Acting as an integral member in the development of short and long term business plans.
- Participating in system development activities.
- Representing the company on industry related committees and at industry functions.
