Qualifications• A Technologist with the appropriate experience and qualifications recognized by ASET. (Technician with commensurate experience will be considered.)
• A minimum of 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical field-related experience.
• Previous D&C Operation experience will be asset.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Good MS Word, MS Excel, and ACCUMAP skills are required.
Responsibilities• Looking for an engineer or technologist to join the Calgary based Rainbow Production Engineering Team. In this role, you will be the central contact for the Business Unit (BU) for all rig, CTU and wireline activities. You will work closely with the Drilling, Completion and Field Operations for the implementation of oil/gas well production optimization strategies.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Liaise with Drilling and Completion and downhole service rig co-coordinators regarding daily rig activity updates for the BU.
• Co-ordinate service rig work requests, cost estimates, meetings and schedules.
• Review workover, completion and drilling programs to ensure that the BU objectives are met.
• Liaise with field foremen, technical production and reservoir engineering staff about well operation and compliance issues.
• Co-ordinate the monthly updates of production estimates, accruals, sales volumes for the BU to Marketing.
• Review shut-in wells to ensure appropriate rig activity for EUB compliance.
