POSITION DESCRIPTION: May include but not limited to the following: Manage well data including well log data, transfer well data to GeoFrame and Openworks projects using traditional ASCII loader and other methods. Use SQL as necessary to transfer data from the Oracle database to/from Openworks projects. Quality control well data received from service companies. Edit well log data, including splicing and depth matching the logs to company standards. Keep abreast of technologies, and assist documentation of Well Data Management requirements to take advantage of new techniques and innovations.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Experience: 9 years oil industry experience including recent experience in well data management. Work experience with major service company preferred. The successful candidate will have data management and preferably customer support experience using Openworks, Geolog, and LogDB. Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and presentation skills are required, with a suitable personality to deal harmoniously with others.
