POSITION DESCRIPTION: 1. Conduct feasibility studies on major additions/upgrades to gas processing, NGL, and pipeline facilities 2. Support surface facilities and processing aspects of technical and special studies including gas plant facilities, pipelines, NGL recovery and fractionation in notional development studies and economic analysis. 3. Perform system and economic evaluations of existing and potential new gas processing, NGL, and pipeline facilities. 4. Perform evaluations to establish and support long term business strategies related to gas processing, NGL, and pipeline facilities. 5. Direct evaluations of major gas processing, NGL, and pipeline facilities as performed by others. 6. Interface with operating organizations, engineering, project management and corporate planning. 7. Prepare written project justifications for presentation to Corporate Management. 8. Prepare scoping papers to define capital projects covering gas processing, NGL, and pipeline facilities. 9. Prepare and make presentations to Corporate Management on gas processing and NGL operations issues. 10 Advise and provide consulting services related to gas, NGL and pipelines to Saudi Aramco management and other organizations. 11. Provide facilities infrastructure related input to the Kingdom's gas strategy 12. Review and provide support to the Gas Regulator for the development of the Implementation Guidelines of the GSPR. 13. Mentor young facilities planning engineers for future development to Facilities Planning Specialist positions.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Must have at least 10 years varied professional process engineering and feasibility analysis experience with at least 5 years in gas processing, NGL an pipeline system design/operations and with professional consultants in planning and executing engineering studies. Experience is also required in planning and designing gas, NGL and condensate pipeline systems and networks. Balance of the experience may include capital program planning with respect to gas and NGL plant and pipeline facilities. The candidate shall have demonstrated experience in performing economic evaluations, feasibility studies and preparing requests for budgetary approvals. Candidate must be experienced in process/system simulation for gas processing, NGL extraction and fractionation and pipeline systems using AspenTech's HYSIS, Simulations Sciences PRO/II and Pipephase simulators. The candidate must be thoroughly familiar with upstream hydrocarbon commercial models and hydrocarbon (gas, NGL and condensate) sales and purchase contract review and negotiations. The candidate must also possess a thorough knowledge of various regulatory regimes and tariff calculations. The candidate must possess demonstrated excellent written and oral technical presentation skills and must be proficient in the use of personal computers specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint softwares.
