Our client, International Engineering and Construction Contractor is seeking two HSE Engineers / Managers in order to increase their HSE coordination from the Bid stage through to Project On site preparation and execution, the Overseas Plant (Process, Oil, Gas & Power) Division has decided to employ two HSE Professionals at the Head Office in Seoul, Korea who will also be deployed as HSE Managers on overseas projects as necessary. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a major International EPC Contractor and to use your existing experience in the Process, Oil and Gas / Power Sector and to work on some of the multi-billion mega oil, gas and power projects in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
Ideal candidates will be degree qualified or equivalent, have HSE qualifications, have worked with major EPC Contractors on overseas projects worldwide, experience of HSE input from design, bid/tender and execution stage of major process, oil, gas, petrochemical and/or power projects. Experience and knowledge of working to major international HSE as well as IOC HSE standards. Candidates should also:
Candidate Attributes
Have at least 10 years HSE Manager experience, including at least 5 years overseas
Thorough knowledge and experience of implementing HSE Plans, Procedures, Methods,Reporting, Training to UK/EU/International IOC levels and ISO 14001/18001- including developing HSE Policies, Procedures, and Safety and Security programmes
HAZOPS, HAZID and Risk assessment Competence
Accident / Incident Investigation competence
Must be computer literate ( MS Office + HSE standards/Programes)
Excellent communication skills, spoken and written - effectively at all levels
Effective Manager and Team leader
Adept at Planning, Organising and Coordinating
Candidates should be fit, healthy and used to working in hot climate, construction environments
Used to working in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment
References essential
Terms and Conditions:
12 month renewable Employment Contracts, subject to agreement by both parties
Initial posting to Seoul, Korea and to overseas postings
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, locally tax free.
Working hours - 10 hours day/ 5 and half day week in Head Office and 10 hours day - 6 day week on overseas projects.
Furnished accommodation, food, transport in Korea and Overseas Sites by Company
Leave cycle 2 weeks after every 4 months including air fare back to home country
Medical Health Insurance by candidates
