Mechanical Designer - Piping/Design/Oil and Gas

A major natural gas exploration and development company has immediate need for a Mechanical Designer at its Houston location. Ideal candidate will have 10 years mechanical piping experience - oil and gas preferred. A self directed and motivated individual able to work with little supervision. Requires proficiency with AutoCad 2006 or higher and Cadworx; indepth understanding of Meter Stations and Hot Tap connections. Will use AutoCad to include: layers, borders, symbols and document management practices. Position will be responsible for designing, checking, tutoring and assisting the Department Lead. This is a long term contract employment opportunity with opportunity to go permanent.
