Reservoir engineering manager needed for a fulltime position in Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or a related discipline, 10 years of related experience and/or training, a high level of proficiency with ARIES and MS Office Suite, prior management or supervisory skills, a strong understanding of petroleum reservoir fundamentals including rocks, fluids, flow mechanisms, economics, equipment, data retrieval and analysis, measurement techniques, and an ability to assign quantities to unknown variables. Responsibilities will include managing the activities of the reservoir engineering department in line with the goals and objectives including reserves reporting, capital budgeting and forecasting, acquisitions and divestitures, project management, monitoring production and cash flows, regulatory compliance, and technology application; assign responsibilities, establish and communicate priorities, track progress of projects, maintain accountability and timeliness of engineering department personnel in accomplishing objectives, participating in planning and prioritizing projects and business activities with the Geological Manager, Land Manager, and the VP, and ensuring regulatory compliance, hearing support, and obtaining permits as needed. Will work with others to promote teamwork, communication, and sharing of ideas to improve work performance within the company and its business units.
