IMMEDIATE NEED!!!!....LONG TERM CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT........EPC client that designs & constructs process plants (refineries, gas processing, chemical, etc...) is looking for a Piping Engineer with 7-25+ years of industry experience for a 12+ month contract assignment. You need a BSME or similar engineering degree. A PE license would be considered a big plus. You must have experience performing stress analysis using Caesar II software. If you are willing to take a direct hire job, you do not need Caesar II software experience. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate flexibility in critical piping systems, defining the Stress Analysis scope of supply, & developing piping specifications (customized & company standard). You need a solid understanding of the ASME codes & standards (specifically B31.3). You will prepare material requisitions for piping commodities and piping mechanical specialty items. You will support the preparation of RFQ, bid evaluations & coordination with vendors. You will be involved with verification of client specifications and requirements. You will be in charge of preparing all associated lists, i.e. Specialty items, Piping tie-ins etc. You will also maintain the material/valve description database and keep it up to date. You need to be able to start work ASAP!!
Questions you will be asked:
• Do you have 7-20+ years of experience as a Piping Engineer involved with process plant EPC projects?
• How many years of experience do you have performing stress analysis using Caesar II software? If not Caesar, what type of stress analysis software?
• Do you have a solid understanding of the ASME codes and standards associated with Piping? Specifically B31.3?
• Do you have a BSME or similar degree?...How about a PE?
• Detail your experience ensuring adequate flexibility in critical piping systems, defining the Stress Analysis scope of supply, & developing piping specifications.
