Job descriptionHave primary responsibility for the Contracts Function on a multi discipline medium sized Project in Wilhehnshaven, North Germany Primary Function/Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for, or assists in, the formulation, negotiation and administration management of contractual arrangements for products and/or services. 2.Responsible to the Procurement Lead for the execution of engineering, procurement, construction and project services contracts. 3.Accountable for the project contracts she services management function. 4.Responsible for the supervision of the projects site services contracts team 5.Ensures all subordinates are properly trained and follow project procedures and guidelines. 6.Leads (or supports) contract negotiations as required. 7.Provides contracts management functional guidance to project contracts personnel and other stakeholders involved in the contract / project execution phase 8.Ensures that contract documents reflect the intended purpose and that pertinent data and information, appropriate language, and correct terms and conditions are used at all times. 9. Leads the projects change management process, controls project correspondence, invoice handling monitors contractor performance against commitments and Contract Close Out. 10.Works closely with company Contracts, procurement, finance, legal, and other functional support groups to ensure an integrated, consistent approach to contracting.
RequirementsUniversity Degree: Technical, Business or Legal
Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies l.)Skill in the administration, formulation, negotiation, and establishment of complex contractual arrangements including claim mitigation and claim handling. 2.)Prior experience as Contracts leads on EPC projects and knowledge Unit Rate Contracting. 3.)Fluent in English and German and preferably experience with the project site 4.)Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community including external contracting executives at all levels. 5.) Ability to effectively manage complex contracts. 6.) Knowledge of contracting terms, compensation models, compliance issues, procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements. 7.)Team Building/Networking 1 - Strong team player capable of partnering disciplines and operations personnel, a passion to participate and contribute, knows when and where to seek help from others. 8.) An ability to develop innovative so1utionsrtocontracting problems.
Desired Experience Level
Must be able to demonstrate experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified, specifically related to contracts function for large oil and gas projects.
