EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY- A leading independent refinery in Southern California is very actively searching for a Reliability Engineer with a minimum 5 years of plant-level experience in petrochemical refining operations, maintenance and reliability. The successful candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and have excellent verbal and written communication skills along with excellent computer skills with proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable. Responsibilities include conducting engineering studies and making recommendations to improve the reliability of refinery assets; conducts investigations of equipment problems and failures, and makes recommendations to prevent future problems. Expedites the planned and unplanned repairs of equipment and provides overall refinery support of Reliability Programs for Condition Monitoring; Preventative Maintenance; and maintains all regulatory and administrative equipment and materials records. Candidate will provide a safe work environment by providing engineering support to refinery safety programs, engineer to standards, and support resolution of PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) action items.
