Senior Project Engineer

Our client has a vacancy for a Senior Project Engineer. This role will be part of the key team that undertake the expansion of the subsea infrastructure to achieve First Oil late in 2009. The prime responsibility will be the delivery of the flowline, flexibles and riser for the development such that the planned First Oil can be achieved. Duties are as follows: Scope will include management of the engineering, development of specifications, procurement, commissioning, interfaces, letting subcontracts etc. for rigid flowlines, pipe, flexible flowlines and steep-S riser in accordance with company policies and procedures. Required to monitor and control cost and schedule of facilities they are responsible for delivering.Expected to go offshore with the project to ensure execution of installation conforms to client requirements. Previous experience as client engineer working on a DSV/Reel ship representing an Operator essential.Ensure that the infrastructure is in place for First Oil in October 2009.Report execution issues, planning, scope and budget to Project Manager on an ongoing basis.

Candidates should be Degree qualified Chartered Engineers with previous Operator experience. Essential to have held similar positions in the past with an operator Subsea project experience - structures, flowlines, umbilicals, fabrication, installation Experienced in preparation of project documentation on the operator side - internal & governmental Management of risks & interfaces Management of project team Previous experience in management of installation contractor Project close-out documentation

A minimum15 years' experience in oil and gas industry including subsea design management and offshore hook-up. At least years' experience in planning and execution of offshore topsides projects and shutdowns Familiar with UKCS offshore operations and regulatory issues Experienced in the preparation of execution plans and cost estimates for offshore projects Project experience from concept stage through to First Oil. All survival and medical certificates valid to enable offshore working/visits.
