Drilling Engineer

Our client is an Australian operator. They are looking for Drilling Engineers at various levels of seniority, including Principal and Senior Engineer. These posts are based in Australia and will be offered on a staff / resident basis. The successful incumbents will lead the onshore drilling team including undertaking performance monitoring, recommending training and implementing agreed career development. Assist in the identification of drilling technology to commercialise low permeability reservoirs and optimise field development of existing reservoirs by working closely with the Petroleum Development Teams. This person will be responsible for the supervision of well planning, well design and well preparation activities for all wells, along with the management of day to day drilling activities ensuring that all activities meet our client's standard for HSE and quality, as well as the key technical and cost objectives defines in the work programme.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering is a minimum requirement (preferably in Petroleum Engineering)

7 - 15 years' experience of oil and gas well drilling including roles of drilling engineering and onsite supervision. This experience should also include the introduction of specialised drilling technology such as underbalanced and coiled tubing drilling. Project management and contract management experience and capability are required. Previous experience as a Team Leader.
