Do you want to be a catalyst in energy development? One of the largest oil producers in the world, with the largest non-associated gas fields, Qatar Petroleum (QP) can offer diverse experience in complex geological production and exploration environments. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, you will contribute directly to the development of Qatar Petroleum’s operated oil and associated gas fields. QP is undertaking integrated full field studies of all its major oil reservoirs. These are significant, large scale projects spanning multiple years, involving integration of all the subsurface data into comprehensive full field reservoir models. QP utilizes the latest industry software such as Petrel & Eclipse and has very large datasets to work with. The work is complex, challenging and very fulfilling. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the future development of these supergiant QP operated oil fields.
QP is also looking for Senior Exploration Geologists with a minimum of 15 years experience in exploration and appraisal geology. Primary responsibilities will be to monitor, control and supervise the geological and geophysical activities of PSA companies working in Qatar. To coordinate and control geological, geophysical & petrophysical data collection for oil & gas wells of all hydrocarbon resources for PSA operated oil fields. To analyze and evaluate these data and to establish most suitable geological models for utilization in simulation. To carry out independent studies and to review and assess geological and geophysical studies, models and reports carried out by companies. To monitor drilling activities.
All disciplines will have the opportunity to work with diverse teams to develop these studies, giving you the opportunity to experience inter-disciplinary reservoir study teams.
Minimum academic requirement is a BSc in an appropriate Geoscience subject with a solid understanding of Schlumberger’s and other petrophysical, geological, and geophysical applications.
