We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer who would welcome an opportunity to be part of a unique and exciting company offering a wealth of opportunity and excitement in the oil and gas industry. Use your extensive experience and breadth of knowledge together with leading edge reservoir characterization and well construction technologies to deliver step-change improvements in project economics. Join an A-team of senior professionals focused on crafting the next generation of reservoir specific solutions and industry best practices applicable to some of the industry's hottest plays.The Senior Reservoir Engineer will work within a senior, multi-discipline petrotechnical team to develop and apply advanced reservoir engineering techniques in support of the evaluation and development of challenging oil and gas field development projects. One of the target areas are projects located in resource plays including tight gas sands, fractured shales, naturally fractured clastic reservoirs, and coal bed methane which can benefit from detailed reservoir evaluation, and application of advanced E&P technology.
The Reservoir Engineer should have the following capabilities and experience:
Performs test analysis, pre and post stimulation analysis, and reservoir simulations. Subsurface analysis and interpretation to generate recommendation for development planning, reservoir management, and production enhancement.
Published papers and developed patents preferred
Make presentations at national meetings of professional engineering associations
Undergraduate degree in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years experience, with average experience of 20+ years.
Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer.
Unconventional resource plays.
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will support project evaluation work by providing historical offset well performance evaluation (production decline curve analysis), determination of reservoir rock and fluid properties, deterministic as well as probabilistic in-place hydrocarbon volumetric calculations, static reservoir modeling, dynamic reservoir simulation, well test analysis, field (re-)development planning, recommendations for production enhancement, EUR / recovery efficiency analysis, forecasts of future production performance, preliminary economic analysis, and other work related to reservoir understanding / development.
This will be a significant learning and professional growth opportunity since the Reservoir Engineer will work on a number of vastly different project evaluations each year in various basins in North America.
