One of the most renown management consulting companies in the world (w/o competition is some of their businesses) seeks a manager to hear their RAM (Reliability & Maintenance). Want the best and will pay for it. Want someone from a large sophisticated process industry company who has worked at the corporate level is a large multiplant environment, who worked their way from a plant level maint.. manager level to corp. which is concerned with global corporate standardization of maintenance practices. Must be used to using statistical analysis of multiplant practices - in addition to coming out of a giant process company might have years with a large sophisticated maintenance consulting company like Kearney, IBM, BoozAllen, etc. Incumbent is retiring after 10 years at year end
. "The position requires an in-depth understanding of all aspects of Reliability and Maintenance functions and a basic understanding of the economic driving forces in process industries especially the petroleum refining and petrochemicals industries. He/she will manage this RAM Comparative Performance Analysis (CPA) Study, providing performance assessment and causal factors benchmarking services to our clients. The successful candidate will also be a part time participant in our process industry consulting assignments, as part of a multi-skilled consulting team delivering performance improvement services to our clients worldwide. Qualifications for the position of RAM Study Project Manager: o Engineering degree required; MBA preferred o 20 to 25 years experience in process industries, preferably including petroleum refining/petrochemicals
- demonstrated problem-solving skills
- aptitude for excellence in engineering and for maximizing net cash margin of clients' operations
- excellent interpersonal skills
- RAM consulting project experience required
- demonstrable team coordination ability and budget responsibility necessary o Solid technical skills, with advanced computer application abilities, including experience with:
- advanced data analysis, especially statistical analysis
- Excel spreadsheets
- PowerPoint presentations
- ability to integrate the skills listed above to effectively analyze data and report results o Capability to clearly communicate
- delivery of results to clients via formal face-to-face seminars/workshops
- papers at Industry Maintenance and Reliability Conferences and in industry journals
- presentation of RAM performance and causal factors Benchmarking benefits to industry prospects
