Geologist / Sr. Geologist needed for a fulltime opportunity in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Geology, a minimum 5 years in the oil industry, and computer literate in UNIX based workstations, Geoquest, and Microsoft Office. Additional experience must include experience with well data analysis and synthesis, experience with prospect generation and evaluation, and capable of 2D/3D seismic interpretation and mapping. Responsibilities will include well data analysis, correlation and synthesis for geological models, seismic interpretation of 2D/3D surveys leading to prospect generation, selecting geological models to be adopted, technical evaluation of leasehold properties, and monitoring exploration drilling activities in areas of interest.
