Description
The Credit Analyst is a key member of the Treasury team and is primarily responsible for overseeing Treasury’s credit risk management functions. The Credit Analyst is required to undertake prudent credit management to minimise the risk of loss through counterparty default. The primary objective of credit risk management is to assess and mitigate the credit risk faced by Woodside and to establish the parameters within which these credit risks are to be managed. The position reports to the Assistant Treasurer on credit issues.

The Credit Analyst is also responsible for monitoring Treasury compliance and report Treasury Policy Exceptions and Breaches to VP Tax and Treasury, the CFO and the Board of Directors.

Woodside’s Credit Rating
• Assist in the management of Woodside’s credit ratings with external credit rating agencies.
• Prepare annual Credit Rating Update report and the associated credit rating presentation
•
Credit Risk Management
• Manage Liquids Marketing credit risk activity for the Company (both in Australia and the U.S.)
• Support/ advise/ negotiate Letters of Credit and Parent Company Guarantee
• Facilitate senior management approval on exceptional credit terms requested by Liquids Marketing
• Measure and monitor, by Treasury Counterparty, the credit risk exposure arising from derivative transactions, letters of credit, investments and other treasury exposures.
• Review, monitor and manage the credit ratings and credit limits of all Woodside product customers and Treasury Counterparties.
• Ensure compliance with Treasury Policy.
• Advise on Woodside’s internal credit and risk process and participate in the update of procedures.
• Participate in the preparation of Treasury Monthly Report.

Trade Finance Products
• Manage the provision and arrangement of trade finance requirements on behalf of the Company.
• Maintain and update the Treasury Guarantee Register.

Treasury Compliance
• Monitor compliance with Treasury Policy.
• Report all Treasury Policy Exceptions and Breaches to VP Tax and Treasury, the CFO and the Board of Directors.
• Compile and co-ordinate the monthly Treasury Compliance Questionnaire

Other
• Review and advise on credit risk mitigation in company contracts.
• Support Woodside’s business units in setting up of banking facilities.

Qualifications
In order to be successful in your application you must have:

Tertiary qualification - Degree in commerce/economics/accounting/finance.
• Experience in credit risk analysis in corporate banking or other corporate a benefit.
• Strong interpersonal skills liaising with other Treasury team members, other Woodside Business units and with external parties such as banks and credit rating agencies.
• Self starter. Able to work on issues independently and meet tight deadlines.
