Description:CCL has been requested by a multinational group of companies providing services to the oil and gas industries, to recruit a Drilling Equipment Package Engineer to be based in Houston. Position may require overseas travel and / or offshore assignment. Salary commensurate with education and experience. This vacancy is being handled by CCL's Houston office.
Qualifications:BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline. Microsoft Office and MS Project experience. Previous process and utility package experience for offshore projects, Knowledge of mechanical design including pumps, rotating equipment, pressure vessels and compressors. All positions offered require excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Should be eligible to work in the USA.
Experience:Minimum 10 years previous experience. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Coordinate electrical equipment packages for offshore oil & gas facilities. Prepare technical specifications, RFQ and bid evaluations. Travel to equipment fabrication sites to manage, monitor and coordinate activities with outside vendors and project team. Attend FAT, inspections and any other testing as required. Oil & gas industry experience. Minimum 3 years experience with offshore drilling rigs, jack ups and other offshore facilities. Knowledge of drilling equipment mechanical design and other offshore equipment such as pumps, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, compressors and other related equipment.
