POSITION DESCRIPTION: Successful candidate will be expected to: Develop, establish and maintain all aspects of either the cost control effort or the planning/scheduling effort on one or more of the larger, more complex and demanding projects. Incumbent utilizes his broad experience, expertise, and exposure to various types of company projects and clients. Specific responsibilities: 1. Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex project control problems, interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides statistical reports. 2. Provides project and company management with the necessary tools for project cost control. May participate in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with all affected departments. 3. May lead a team who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project costs and performance. Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel. Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees. 4. Accumulates and accesses historical data, such as performance experience, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting. 5. Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against an established baseline. Assesses the impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages. Develops or maintains an established system to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules; keeps project and company management fully informed. 6. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or related field). Nine years of related work experience in the construction, operation, and/or maintenance of petrochemical facilities. Proficient PC skills including a proficiency in various software used in the Project Controls such as Excel, Primavera, Microsoft Project. Fluent in English both written and oral.
COMMENTS: Northern Area Projects Department is basically involved with various construction projects like refineries, gas plants, terminals, offshore and marine. The Department is located in West Admin Bldg., Ras Tanura, and all Divisions are scattered all over the Kingdom plus several Out-of-Kingdom Chapter-8 assignments.
