Laboratory Analyst

With a commitment to delivering a cost effective analytical service, the Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for the timely provision of accurate data of process liquids, gases and reservoir hydrocarbons. This will be achieved by performing a wide scope of duties including routine and non-routine sampling and analysis of gases, liquid hydrocarbon products, and water and process chemicals, both onshore and offshore.

With a strong focus on adhering to facility operational integrity plans, your main responsibilities will encompass the provision of sample composition results to support work groups. You will also contribute to the understanding of production system optimisation issues and varying operational constraints. In addition you will be directly involved in the validation of the accuracy of data for the production of the Certificate of Quality for LPG, Crude Oil & Condensate. All work should be undertaken in accordance with NATA standards. A commitment to safe laboratory practices and continuously improving methods will be crucial to success in this role.

Qualifications

A qualification in Analytical Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline with experience in hydrocarbon testing and analysis are essential requirements of the role. Along with advanced computing skills and exceptional verbal and written communication, your proven experience in a similar role and industry will be viewed upon favourably. As the Karratha Gas Plant operations are run 24/7, your flexibility and willingness to occasionally work outside the normal hours of business will be advantageous.
