Woodside is experiencing an exciting growth period and is currently seeking to hear from qualified and experienced Operations Managers.

Operations Managers are responsible for all operational aspects of onshore/offshore assets which may include Fixed platform, or FPSO, subsea wells, pipelines and onshore facilities, as defined in the Asset Reference Plan, Operating and Integrity Management procedures and Business Plan. They manage assets through their life cycle in accordance with Woodside policies and procedures and within legislative requirements (Australian, International or host country) and ensure HSE standards, Safety Case requirements are fully considered in all aspects to reduce the risks to ALARP.

Business Environment

The Operations Manager plays a key role in delivering the target availability and reliability of supply to support long term contracts in an environment where the reputation for quality and reliability is critical to securing further business for the Operator and Joint Venture Participants. The asset exists in a regulated environment and its operation is subject to a high level of scrutiny internally and externally eg environmental standards. The regulating authorities place the responsibility for ensuring compliance with legislation with the Operator.

This is a senior Operations Management position. It is accountable for ensuring that HSE, production targets, operability and maintainability issues are fully met in regard to compliance with offshore standards, operations and maintenance philosophies. The incumbent will utilise management skills, technical knowledge and operational experience to manage the activities of the asset. This position will be supported by a small Perth based support team, utilising a wide range of operational reviews and external audits.

Accountabilities

* Ensure that facilities are operated in safe and efficient manner by adhering to company HSER policies and principles and complying with the Safety Management System and Environment Plan
* Ensure that the facility is operated within the integrity envelope as defined by the Production Directors delegate
* Ensure the facility meets production targets and achieves high availability, productivity and cost effectiveness
* Effectively manage the Woodside operator workforce to achieve positive safety, morale, efficiency and production results
* Formulate Operations budgets and input to Operations budget as required. Implement maintenance and inspection strategies as defined and approved by the Production Director delegate
* Liaise with Joint Venture Partners as required

Qualifications
# Relevant Degree qualification preferred but not essential
# Significant experience in managing operational aspects of onshore/offshore assets
# Proven ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams
# Demonstrable commitment to HSE excellence
# Proven ability to deliver production targets
