POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Provide assistance. Support and technical expertise to Project Management in all matters relating to safety, health, and the environment.

Job Activities:

Serves as liaison representing Department Manager on safety, health, and environmental issues and assure information exchange and mutual assistance. Plans, implements, and coordinates the Project Management Loss Prevention Program (PMLPP) to reduce or eliminate injuries/fatalities, illnesses. motor vehicle collisions, environmental spills, and financial losses. Performs other duties as may be directed by the Department Manager including development and implementation of departmental wide HS&E training program s and coordination with other organizations.

Prepares and issues safety guidelines and procedures. Provides technical expertise, as needed, to assist in meeting the PMLPP requirements. Assists in the investigation of incidents to ensure that incident report are completed and submitted on a timely basis. Interfaces between MPD and other Saudi Aramco Department on safety, health, and environmental issues. Conducts periodic appraisals and inspections to ensure compliance with PM and Saudi Aramco requirements. Makes safety, health, and environmental presentations at Job Explanation and Kick-Off Meeting, as requested. Assists in recruiting of qualified safety personnel.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Education: BS Engineering.

Experience: Position requires Seven (7) years experience in construction or associated engineering fields.

Language Requirements: A Knowledge of the Arabic language desirable but not required.

Other: (1) A well rounded knowledge of project management, cost control and cost estimating, (2) Must be completely familiar with Aramco building, Utility and piping codes, (3) Must be familiar with Aramco Budgeting and Accounting procedures,(4) should be well informed on Standard Safety practices.
