Job descriptionPURPOSE/ROLE:
- Member of KNPC Integrated Project Management Team for Fourth Refinery Off-sites & Utilities Project.
- Interface and co-ordination between KNPC and home office and site based engineering teams.
KEY AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
- Monitor, review and approve key engineering documentation to support timely procurement of materials and construction installation and completion.
- Ensuring assigned work is managed and delivered to KNPC technical satisfaction.
- Ensuring that key reports carry out their duties and responsibilities in line with their agreed contract Job Descriptions.
PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Interface with KNPC for formal and informal reviews on technical matters with respect to engineering work.
- Provide technical guidance and direction as may be requested from time to time.
- Monitor and review design documentation originated by the Contractor.
- Liaise directly with KNPC for review / approval of critical drawings and documents.
- Review and monitor Contractor’s and/or their Subcontractor’s engineering/design activities.
- Participate in key KNPC reviews and meetings as required.
- Participate in Monthly Progress reviews with the Contractor.
- Review and monitor the critical engineering and design activities performed by the Contractor.
- Coordinate and resolve filed engineering queries interfacing with construction and completions.
- Monitor, appraise and report to KNPC on quality and safety aspects of engineering, design and construction performed by Contractor and their Subcontractor’s / Vendors.
- Develop Interface Management Plan at commencement of the services to detail the mechanisms by which effective interface management will be achieved.
Requirements1. Holder of B.Sc. (Eng) degree.
2. Minimum twelve years post graduate experience.
3. Minimum eight years experience in the oil & gas, refining and petrochemical industries.
4. Minimum three years experience in a similar position.
5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
6. Functional Management, Leadership and teambuilding skills.
7. Good HSE awareness and commitment.
