Cost/Control Engineer Houston, Texas, USA
Project cost engineer needed for a contract opportunity with an oil and gas related engineering and construction company in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will have a BS in engineering, engineering technology, business administration with relevant experience, or at least ten years experience in the oil and gas industry, five years of project controls experience with more of a focus on cost control and some schedule control achievements. The cost engineer coordinates all aspect of cost control and reporting, including project change management, estimate development, cost control and progress measurement. Additional responsibilities include supporting cost stewards with ongoing cost analysis, preparing monthly cost reports, analyzing cost trends, develop and review cost forecasts, monitoring and appraising the performance of the contractors in the areas of cost control, progress measurement and control and maintaining regular contact with cost and schedule organization in the sub-project teams. Requirements include upstream, pipeline, offshore engineering, procurement and construction experience, willingness to work overseas in a team environment and willingness to relocate to the required project site.
