Great opportunity for a Drafting/Documentation Supervisor! Industry leading oil refinery in Southeastern California is offering this key position. Requires a minimum of 6 years refinery piping design experience and 3 years additional design/drafting supervisor experience. This dual position will supervise 6 to 7 designers/draftsmen and 1 or more documentation specialists. Education open, but degree or associates degree a plus. Position requires strong familiarity with B31-1, B31-3 and API 570 codes and also with documentation softwares, such as NMF3. Candidate should be capable of hands-on refinery piping design in Autocad as workload may require. This position supports all engineering project designs and documentation. Design/drafting section also supports Ops/Maintenance and Safety/Health groups for associated project and line drawings. Duties include: weekly priority/review meetings with refinery section managers for priortizing design/drafting/documentation workloads; being lead in upgrading documentation system which currently uses NMF3 software; oversee proper engineering documentation for the refinery; supervise and coordinate all designers/draftsmen in properly and efficiently supporting engineering, operations/maintenance, and safety/health departments; and in enhancing both the design/drafting and documentation procedures, functions and respective operating budgets at the facility.
