Primary Job Duties
Batch/review and process timesheets with heavy job cost coding- approximate 300+ weekly; maintain EXCEL and ACCESS data; research employee questions; performs more complex payroll duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wage and salaries. Calculate payrolls, including standard deductions and taxes. Must be able to multi-task and work under stressful conditions with tight deadlines. Will be cross-trained to provide support to other team members.
Secondary Job Duties
- Research and respond to unemployment audits and misc verifications;
- Answer payroll inquiries from employees
- Occasional preparation of pay-related reports and compilation of statistical duties as assigned.
- Filing (payroll reports, stop payments, etc.)
Requirements: Education, Experience, and Special Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- AA Degree in Accounting or equivalent course work
- 1-3 years general Payroll experience
- 10-key by touch, Min typing of 35wpm
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Mainframe applications
- MS Access experience preferred
- 500+employee payroll(s) preferred
