Position Summary:
Responsible for all regional information technology activities including systems analysis, programming, computer and auxiliary operations. Responsible for integrating all levels of computer automation with various business activities such as telecommunications, word-processing, graphic design, database management, security systems, and computer aided design systems.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Manage all IT operation activities for the Alaska region
2. Reports to senior management on information systems plans, projects, performance and related matters
3. Implement regional policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities and mentor team members on
4. Manages liaison between information systems and other functions in the region
5. Ensures optimum operational service for organizational needs
6. Prepares budgets and monitors financial performance
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
1. Strong knowledge of computer systems and servers
2. Strong knowledge of computer operations
3. Strong knowledge of hardware and operating systems
4. Knowledge of project management methodology
5. Ability to manage a team
6. Skill in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
Qualifications:
1. BA/BS college or university degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is desired or equivalent work experience
2. Six years progressive IT work experience
3. Two years work experience managing people
Required Training & Certificates:
1. Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
