Position Summary:
Intermediate level position performing electrical quality control functions to assure compliance with project and customer requirements under general supervision. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed. Independently performs most assignments.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist in the processing of installation procedures.
2. Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.
3. Notifies superiors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and specs.
4. Performing special process and field installation inspections and surveillance of equipment and materials.
Other Job Responsibilities:
1. Studies engineering drawings, suggests changes in them and makes changes within scope of responsibility or upon approval.
2. Updates Quality assurance files.
3. May perform field and/or Fab Shop inspections.
4. Other job assignments as required.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Expertise:
1. Two to four (2-4) years of experience in engineering or construction is strongly preferred.
2. Experience with electrical engineering is required.
3. Must be able to represent CH2M Hill and negotiate favorably with key members of the other firms and agencies.
Education:
1. BA/BS college or university degree in Engineering or Business Administration is preferred.
2. May substitute field experience for degree.
Required Training & Certificates:
1. Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.
2. Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.
3. Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
4. Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
