Organization/DepartmentOur Client has played an important role in the development of the offshore industry in the Arabian Gulf for over 30 years, providing increasingly specialized services to the onshore and offshore oil industry. The Company's two primary facilities are located in Sharjah and Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, both in the United Arab Emirates.
Job descriptionFunction/Purpose:
- To manage the Technical Integration activity, encompassing the basic and detailed design development, procurement design of systems, production design development, maintenance and change control of system design baselines, requirements engineering and specification hierarchies for the integrated systems.
- Through the application of effective leadership and management, to ensure Project Management objectives are achieved in the Technical Engineering disciplines of the Program.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Managing (planning, organizing, leading and controlling) the function and staff assigned to achieve the agreed outcomes within the delegated authorities and responsibilities.
- Providing the appropriate direction, coaching, support and delegation to individual team members and the whole team to enable them to achieve the work objectives.
- Providing key milestone schedules covering all aspects of the development, manufacture, testing, delivery and sell-off of subcontracted Supplies.
- Assist the Engineering Manager by monitoring the progress of in-house and subcontract marine systems engineering, and procurement engineering activities to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Undertaking the more critical aspects of customer liaison with respect to whole Unit performance criteria.
- Ensuring the effective identification, delivery, receipt, acceptance and onward processing and configuration management of outstanding vendor furnished design source data.
- Ensuring the documentation and ongoing control of the established system development baselines, through the Configuration Systems.
- Assuring the engineering efficacy of any systems development required for investigation or through Contract Change Proposals through the exhaustive application and documentation of Requirements Engineering, System Functional Breakdown (including associated specification hierarchies) and Systems Interface Management disciplines undertaken by the Group.
- Reviewing and accepting test results.
- Applying a process of System Design Review to facilitate progressive sign-off of system changes.
RequirementsHolding Marine Certificate of Competencies with over 5 years experience in Marine systems and Drilling equipments
