Job descriptionEnsure the review and approval of Suppliers procedures, staff and processes qualifications (LLI, Contractor’s provided items, bulk material).
Ensure the review of Suppliers ITP’s, and, in liaison with the FPSO QA/QC Manager and in accordance with the approved criticality rating, assess and formalize the required Company’s notification points
Make sure by dedicated technical inspection, that supplier work-shops, equipments, tools are and remain in accordance with technical requirements
Monitor and ensure the painting inspection program in Supplier’s premises in accordance with the approved ITP
Ensure that Company’s Quality Control requirement are properly implemented by the Supplier and Contractor
Ensure the review and follow-up of Suppliers Contractor’s technical queries, Deviation requests or NCR’s relating to painting/coating.
Attend, where required any QA/QC or fabrication meeting.
Monitor the compilation of the painting documentation in the Supplier’s fabrication dossier to be managed in accordance with the Project specification and Exhibit H of the Contract.
Construction phase
Ensure the review and approval of Contractor’s coating procedures, staff and process qualifications (Hull, LQ and Topsides) including preservation of unpainted stainless steel.
In liaison with the FPSO QA/QC Engineer, he shall ensure the review of Contractor’s ITP, assess and formalize the required Company notification points and monitor the ITP’s submission to the classification society.
Monitor, on site, the Contractor’s verification of blasting and coating products certificates with the in coming products by batch numbers ensuring the Contractor’s control of expiration date and storage conditions.
Monitor the proper implementation of the classification requirements applicable to the PFP
Monitor the Contractor traceability system, (daily reports, batch number, QC painting inspection reports etc…)
Ensure the review of Contractor’s technical queries, deviation requests and NCR’s relating to Painting and coating, and relevant implementation where required
Coordinate and follow, closely as possible, the Company QC Painting inspector’s tasks and reporting including walkthrough and relevant punch lists at the Mechanical Completion stage.
Make sure and monitor the Contractor’s preparation of the hook up, and verify that all necessary product equipment consumables, staff and relevant documentation have been planned and provided in due time prior to sailing away (job carding)
Ensure that the documentation relating to painting and coating activities and which shall be provided as part of the final documentation be properly and duly filed by Contractor throughout the project performance
RequirementsShall be: well experienced with major Oil and Gas Project,
Fluent in English language
Has: a good knowledge of applicable standards, such as ASTM, ISO, BS…etc applicable to product and testing (destructive and non destructive testing) and NACE requirements.
A good background in Passive Fire Protection application/inspection processes (required)
A good knowledge of the Classification society painting rules (Hull) and PFP (Topsides) such as DNV, BV, ABS …should be highly appreciated
