Minimum Requirements

A. EDUCATION: B.S. Engineering.

B. EXPERIENCE: Seven (7) years in the oil industry or similar process industry. Experience must be such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as being capable of project and design assignments beyond the ability of the basic professional engineer.

C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: A thorough knowledge of English is required to perform analyses and studies in depth, make professional presentations and keep up with technical advancements; Arabic not required but considered desirable for American incumbents in this position.

D. OTHER: Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, US and Aramco Codes, Standards and Specifications.


Position Description

Below are some of the basic functions of Marine Structure Engineer.

1. Perform structural calculations & designing steel & concrete membranes and deliver a complete design package.

2. Conduct analyses of field problems and provide proper and cost effective corrective actions.

3. Review sub-sea structure inspection reports and provide procedures to implement recommendations.

4. Review and confirm the adequacy of supporting structure for scaffolding designs that are prepared for inspection and maintenance of Terminal facilities.

5. Monitor maintenance and inspection programs for structures and ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco and industry standards.

6. Perform reviews of major engineering packages.

7. Perform structural analysis and assessment of concrete & steel.


Selection Criteria

1. Major is Mechanical.

2. 10 - 15 yrs. in oil & gas operations field.
