Contract Representative

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS Engineering, Business/Public Administration, Political Science. Training in contract procurement is desirable.

Experience: 7 years. Candidate should have experience in contract procurement activities with emphasis in petrochemical projects contracts. Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct and coordinate all phases of contract procurement from initial contract planning through final close-out of the contract to meet the needs of contract proponent organizations.

Participate with proponents in developing a sound, effective plan for contract procurement and determine the best method of procurement.

Convert scope of work into a draft contract or modify the draft submitted by the proponent to conform to accepted legal format, necessitating minimum review and modification by the Law Dept.

Coordinate corporate review to review bid solicitation packages or to determine contract award after bids have been solicited.

Develop the slate of contractors for selective bid contracts.

Supervises the bidding process, including the preparation of bid invitation letters to contractors, job explanations, analysis and preparation of bid summaries.

Coordinate activities of negotiating panel review group and negotiating team.

Counsel proponents as to best contract form and the appropriate type to be used to best fit a particular job.

Ensure that all procurement activity complies with the procedures set forth in the Saudi Aramco Contracting Manual.

Provide work direction to Assistant Contracting Representatives as required.
