MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Advance degree in Geophysics or any closely related subject. PhD. preferred.
Experience: 20-25 years combined experience in oil industry, academia and /or government employment related to geophysical activities.
Publications, invited presentations, professional awards and honors and professional society activities.
Worked with a variety of data sets land and marine, seismic and non-seismic.
Worked in a variety of geological and geographical areas.
Significant knowledge in geology, rocks physics, formation evaluation, reservoir engineering, simulation and drilling
10-15 years devoted primarily to research.
Ability to generate new ideas and projects.
Minimal computer and seismic data processing.
Of special interest is skill in any or several of the following areas: multiples, near-surface, multi-component, anisotropy, modeling, EM methods, acoustic and elastic inversion, attributes, microseismicity, reservoir geophysics, seismic acquisition, physical modeling and field test site development/use.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be a team player, flexible, and work with a variety of professionals. Take part in multiple mid to long term research projects focusing on land/marine geophysical issues, seismic and non-seismic. Ability to generate new ideas and projects, and contribute substantially to existing efforts is required.
