Petroleum Engineer

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: BS Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: 15 years experience in the drilling industry out of which ten (10) years in drilling engineering. Extensive knowledge and experience in the design of vertical, horizontal and multilateral oil or gas wells. Knowledge and experience in the supplication of new drilling technologies and under balanced drilling are desirable.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conducts technical reviews of projects related to area of expertise and provides expert technical advice, investigates and troubleshoots daily drilling related problems, finds appropriate solutions and establishes new procedures to prevent re-occurrence of problems.

Design drilling programs and well menus with emphasis on deep, high pressure and temperature sour gas wells.

Evaluates new drilling practices, equipment and technologies and makes sound conclusions and recommendations to reduce cost and enhance drilling efficiency.

Conducts technical and economic studies including benchmarking as directed by management.

Reviews service contracts related to drilling and workover, as required, or to area of expertise.

Conducts revisions of drilling engineering well menus pertaining to area of expertise.

Explore synergy among all in-kingdom joint venture and Saudi Aramco drilling activities.
