MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

Experience: 20 years of industrial experience related to crude oil processing including petroleum refining process and experience in managing and coordinating research and development program. Strong experience and knowledge in scaling-up chemical process. Strong experience and knowledge in process economy evaluation. Strong experience and knowledge in preparing process engineering package. Ability to identify technical and business opportunities in crude oil processing. Ability to identify and satisfy customer s requirements. Outstanding track record of achievement in process development and leadership of research program. Excellent track record of innovation. Interpersonal and communication skills. Team building and team management skills. Incumbent should have several publications and may serve as an expert reviewer for journals and scientific societies. Likely to hold patents on inventions in areas of his expertise. Incumbent will have had experience as a research project leader. Should also have had experience in developing research projects to be carried out by more junior specialists.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Research & Development Division is establishing an ambitious research program in the area of novel technologies for petroleum upgrading, in particular, whole crude oil desulfurization & upgrading.

The research program for whole crude oil desulfurization & upgrading includes conventional hydroprocessing technologies and non-conventional conversion technologies. The program covers laboratory scale feasibility testing, pilot and demonstration scale evaluation, and commercial scale implementation.

To achieve the objective, we are seeking to hire an expert having a strong background and long experience in crude oil processing. The candidate s main role and contribution will be planning, coordinating, and consulting on the research program. Will have responsibility for commercializing and implementing developed technologies. Finding and identification of new opportunities in crude oil processing will be also his/her role and responsibility.
