MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: B.S. Science/Engineering discipline as appropriate for the area of expertise for the assigned jobs.

Experience: Seven years experience in a substantive industrial, technological or laboratory area relevant to the jobs assignment. Good command of oral and written English. Demonstrated active participation in technical seminars and/or original industrial research.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Saudi Aramco Research & Development center is establishing an ambitious research program in the area of novel technologies for petroleum upgrading, in particular, whole crude oil desulphurization & upgrading. R&D center is seeking expert of process simulation to support research activity and develop new process technology. The candidate will conduct process simulation in support of developing crude oil desulphurization processes. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers and technicians engaged in research and development projects.

Candidate s contribution to the team will be establishing process scheme, suggesting optimum process conditions, modeling process, evaluating process economy, and interpreting experimental results through modeling and simulation work. The candidate will be also involved in preparation of process engineering package. Candidate should have hands-on experience and knowledge on the process simulation, process design, and scaling-up in the field of petroleum refining.


Provides professional advice and assistance in a specialized area of technology such as industrial, analytical or physical chemistry; microbiology; geotechnical or other specialized areas of civil engineering; petroleum or chemical engineering.

Carries out original investigations relating to technical problems outside the scope of available literature.

Keeps current with significant developments in the field of specialization. Is expected to use these in high investigative assignments when applicable.

Visits plants, operating areas or construction sites as required to obtain information pertaining to assigned projects.

Makes comprehensive professional reports of investigations.

Maintains and updates working knowledge of applicable state-of- the-art laboratory instrumentation.

Serves as a team leader or participates in major investigative projects as assigned.

Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested.
