To direct, lead, and manage a project from initial phase to completion, ensuring all HSE and quality requirements are complied with.
Project Manager reports to Sr. Projects Manager. The team under a Project Manager, comprises of Sr. Projects Engineers, Project Coordinator and Project Engineers. The position is responsible for one or more complex and very large projects.
The position is responsible to ensure that optimum Project Execution Strategy is developed and implemented. Mange and leads the selection of bidders, technical bid evaluation and timely award of contracts to ensure close coordination with End-Users through-out the execution of project up to the stage of Final Acceptance and directs, manages, leads and controls all activities of Project from initial stage to completion. The major challenge for the incumbent is to ensure the completion of the project on time while meeting the design intent, within budget and complying to HSE and Quality Standards.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
To manage a project from initial phase to completion and ensure compliance with Company HSE Policy for project activities.
To ensure the preparation and implementation of detailed plan and strategy for the assigned project in order to achieve the agreed objectives.
To lead and motivate the project team ensuring effective implementation of agreed project plans.
To ensure the necessary training of project staff to optimize their potential and remain up-to-date in technological development.
To lead, direct and control the project team and participate in the verification of bidders list, pre-qualification evaluation, development of tender/enquiries, selection of engineering consultants, Project Management Consultants (PMC) and EPC Contractor. Responsible for definition of technical evaluation criteria.
To manage the quality and progress of work performed by licensors, Engineering and EPC Contractor. Ensures Company policies for technical, safety, quality and environment are correctly addressed. Identify the bottlenecks and recommend corrective action to ensure smooth and timely completion of project at optimum cost.
To ensure the quality of material / equipment and the ultimate product as per contract requirements and specifications.
To direct the development of schedule, cost estimate and budget for the project. Review and recommend the same for Tender Board and Management endorsement / approval. Controls and monitor the implementation of the total budget, schedule and quality at various stages of the project execution to ensure adherence to the overall approved plan.
To establish organization for the project, including manpower utilization and mobilization. Leads, motivates, review and monitor the performance of the teams staffed with specialist within the Division, across Project Group and PMC to ensure the effective implementation of the agreed plan.
To provide Project Management and Technical Expertise to ensure effective Managing of all the project phases and prepare weekly highlight and progress reports.
To perform Certification of Contractor and Vendors invoices and endorsement of final acceptance certification.
To develop procurement strategy, manages, control and supervise procurement activities. Coordinate preparation of Purchase Orders and contracts. Review and analyze Change Order Requests, claims and prepare recommendation to management for settling of variations / claims.
To ensure that the contractor submits the required documentation in the specified format including the project close-put, projects are executed in safe manner and that contractors adhere to approved Company procedures.
To ensure proper coordination between the end user and Engineer / EPC Contractor and other agencies involved in the project to ensure quality and progress in maintained.
To coordinate other Divisions to ensure the preparation of annual overall work program and projects. Control expenditure and justify variance.
To coordinate with other Divisions and end user to ensure the accuracy of Projects Engineering Packages, Documents and agree necessary changes to suit construction phase.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Engineering along with minimum 10 years experience in management of Oil & Gas Construction Projects.
